This is a 24-page 8-1/2x8-1/2 printed booklet with square binding -- and -- a digital HTML5 version.
I created the Viewbook in Adobe InDesign. For the digital version, I added animations right from InDesign (fly-ins, appears, sound, video, etc) and used the in5 plug-in to export a complete HTML5 package of files that retained the look and feel, as well as the page geometry of the InDesign file. Easy!
I then uploaded all the assets to file manager in my hosting site. There were several folders to upload: images, js, css, media, images and the index file. Once that was done, I tested it in several browsers on the desktop and mobile to make sure it worked (it did).
