New Designs to Replace Confederate Flag

With the old Confederate Battle Flag being taken down across the South, I have developed two alternatives to replace it.

Both designs include 13 gold stars to represent the 13 Confederate States, which were represented on the various Confederate flags. The flag at top depicts the Mississippi River on the left (hoist) and the Atlantic Ocean on the right (fly). The 13 stars are arranged between the two to show their approximate geographic position between the two bodies of water and in the lower half to show that the South was in the lower half of the original United States. Blue and grey are used to depict the colors associated with the opposing armies. Blue = Federal (US), Grey = Confederate (CSA).

The lower flag shows the 13 stars as a sunrise over the green fields topped with a blue sky.
